Dual Diagnosis Treatment Services
Thorough assessments are completed to determine whether the client meets criteria for a diagnosis of drug and/or alcohol abuse or dependency, along with mental health needs. Counseling is available for individuals with chemical dependency issues as well as their families and significant others.
What is Dual Diagnosis?
A dual diagnosis occurs when a person has both a mental disorder as well as an alcohol or drug addiction. These conditions are frequently together. So much so that roughly half of people who have been diagnosed with a mental disorder also have substance use disorders at some point in their life.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
Our team provides successful and appropriate intervention to those clients who are at risk of or are abusing alcohol/drugs, including those who are identified with concurrent mental and emotional disorders.
We also work with family members and significant others in educating, helping to understand, dealing with, and managing their loved ones disorder. There are specific programs for adults and adolescents.
The goal of services is to assist individuals to develop healthier, more effective life management skills.
The clinical services provided in order to achieve this mission include assessment, individual, family and group counseling, case management and crisis intervention.
